This past weekend VOODOO went to the Karoo 62 Exodus Reggae Festival to check out the reggae/dancehall vibes in the desert. As we share members with The Rudimentals, we decided to join them in their tour bus.
Short vlog documentary of the festival.
This event brought together some of the finest South African Reggae/Dancehall artists. On the line up were Sons of Selassie, Tidal Waves, The Conquerers, The Rivertones, The Rudimentals and many more.
This was a packed bus full of musicians and gear.
Teboes, lead singer of The Rudimentals seen below being very happy to get there alive.
We watched the other bands and really enjoyed hanging out with some of the the reggae and Rastafarian community.
It was now time for The Rudimentals to take the stage. The brass section warming up in soundcheck.
Doc Mike warming up the amp.
Drum and bass always!
Unfortunately we don't have any pics of the live performance as we were all on stage playing our parts. The show went well, and the audience danced and showed their appreciation.
Looking pretty and fresh the following morning;
Pic of VOODOO and The Rudimentals lead singer, Khaos, looking way to cool for school;
This was a great experience to attend this event. It was filled with love, culture and good music. What could be better.
